Our Services

Instilling resilience, empowerment and stability in young people can look like many things.

See how we can help:

Housing

  • We provide 24/7 accommodation for children and youth who are on child protection orders.

While children and youth are placed in our care, we provide services for our clients to improve emotional and behavioural functioning (assisting regulation, teaching coping mechanisms and building resilience), building and maintaining connections and teaching social skills, connecting clients to their culture, teaching life skills and working with clients towards transition to adulthood goals, improving health outcomes and providing a path to educational and career opportunities.

  • Our Semi-independent and Pre-Semi-independent living programs play a key role in assisting young people who are exiting care to develop life/financial skills, provide career paths, assist with building connections and provide opportunities to make a successful transition to adulthood and independence.

Rise staff work extensively on the transition to adulthood goals and liaise with external services to ensure our clients exiting care have ongoing support.

  • Our Outreach Support Service is a program that assists children and youth to reduce the risk of their placements breaking down while placed in foster or kinship care.

We work with our clients and foster/kingship carers to stabilise their placements and assist with achieving developmental goals.

  • We can assist with emergency housing for children and youth. This is dependent on the availability of a suitable living arrangement.

For emergencies, please submit an email request via our Contact Us link.

  • Side Quests is a Rise initiative that involves purposeful programs that target a variety of areas for our youth to achieve outcomes.

    Altitude Adventures

Altitude Adventures is an outdoor education and experiential learning program for older children and youths. It’s designed to improve behavioural and emotional functioning, self-esteem and physical health.

    PathFinders:
PathFinders is an educational/employment program designed to assist our clients with finding a path to employment and/or education.

    Harvest Feast:
Harvest Feast is a program designed to assist youth with healthy eating and life skills such as cooking. The program also encompasses learning to budget and growing your own food.

    Stepping Stones:
As part of our Transition To Adulthood approach, Stepping Stones is an education, employment and transitional program designed to assist with getting youth back into school/employment and preparing young people for when they turn eighteen and leave legal care. It involves a range of learning initiatives to build confidence and practical life skills.

  • At Rise we work closely with our teens to help them make that transition out of legal care with confidence in their abilities and who they are as a person.

Our Transition To Adulthood (T2A) approach is facilitated through our Stepping Stones program. It’s designed to help individuals identify their goals and meet/balance those with practical life skills.

This may include workshops and one-to-one training on understanding finances, budgeting, studying opportunities, cooking, undertaking driving lessons and obtaining a driver’s license, learning about accommodation and how to access resources such as counselling.

Network Support & Respite

  • Foster families play an incredible role in bringing care, hope, and healing into the lives of children and youth placed in their homes.

We acknowledge it’s a big job and that without adequate support and rest it can cause burnout in carers and their family members.

At Rise we can help foster families by offering temporary care relief for foster children, access to support services, and other respite opportunities.

  • We acknowledge the incredible work carers do every day and the importance of rest when necessary.

At Rise, we can help carers by offering them access to support services and respite care.
